Welcome to the website of the European Wildlife Disease Association!

The European Wildlife Disease Association (EWDA) seeks to provide a forum for the exchange of information on wildlife diseases and their management. Through the provision of opportunities for networking, collaborative research and training we seek to raise the profile of wildlife disease research and management. In this website, you can learn about the history and aims of the association.

The EWDA is a regional section of the Wildlife Disease Association (WDA). If you want to know more about the association and its different sections, visit WDA and Sections.

The EWDA is operated by hardworking members who give their time to ensure that the organisation runs smoothly and that we move towards our goals. The daily life of the association is managed by the EWDA Board, while more specific aspects of the work of the organisation are run by different committees

The EWDA aims to provide wildlife professionals with tools to increase their knowledge and improve the impact they make on animal health. It does that through the organisation of conferences and activities, the creation of resources such as factsheets about diseases or animals, and the provision of information about career and education opportunities.

Finally, the EWDA helps funding research by the awarding of small grants to different projects.

EWDA conducts its business under a set of Bylaws established by the EWDA Board and regularly updated with consultation of the EWDA membership.
